R.WEISS Verpackungstechnik presents to the interpack visitors this year a number of different applications of our top-loading machine UNIROB.
R.WEISS here shows a portion of our UNIROB turnkey project designed for pharmaceutical products. The complete system consists of the following components: container and cap denesters, product inspection using vision systems, top loading of the individual products, line tracking on conveyors, a foil sealer, a checkweigher, insertion of product information, capping the containers, labelling, case erecting and loading, case closing and case labelling. The project also includes vision and software systems for serialization, UL certification and validation. This year’s interpack, R.WEISS shows the heart of the UNIROB top-loading line. Multiple R.WEISS Delta robots take the product using a single pick and with line-tracking place into the containers. Each R.WEISS Delta robot is also equipped with its own product in-feed. This UNIROB Picker concept is a highly flexible system that can be used for applications in the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, confectionery, food and others.
Another exhibit is one of our UNIROB picker modules for handling of individual products in the high-speed range. This module can be used for applications in almost every industry. The modularity means these lines can be flexible and expandable. The basis in our UNIROB Picker module is the years R.WEISS has collaborated with a leading PLC manufacturer developing the modular control concept presented here. For the operators an intuitive and clear menu structure is available, the maintenance personnel can check the status virtually via service modules of any electronic component. For remote maintenance, R.WEISS modules can easily be performed with online service. All of this combined provides high plant availability and production safety.
In the other exhibit the above-described UNIROB picker technology is combined with an unique and smart shuttle transport system. This transport system has an unlimited number of individually controllable and positionable shuttles. These can be used inside and outside the UNIROB modules for the transport and positioning of any parts (products, packaging, accessories kit, etc.). Due to the individual control, the shuttles can be positioned with the accuracy of up to 0.1 mm and with high acceleration speeds. The shuttles can transport the packaging using line tracking through the top-loading area. For processes which require a stoppage, it can be positioned exactly at a specific station. The combination of the UNIROB top-loading modules with the highly flexible and intelligent shuttle system offers our customers a wide range of applications.
For years R.WEISS has used the UNIROB cells for the advantage of having an overhead position for the robots. This gives our customers many advantages: easy accessibility of the robot cells large doors, optimal access to the system modules, a good insight into the production processes, high flexibility through any delivery of product and packing material from all sides and more.
